Shipping Policy
Effective date: July 1, 2026 · Last updated: July 1, 2026
MyShipPilot LLC ("MyShipPilot") is a software platform that lets U.S. senders compare carrier rates, purchase shipping labels, and track parcels through USPS and UPS. MyShipPilot is not a carrier and does not physically transport, pick up, or deliver packages. All physical transportation is performed by the carrier you select at checkout, subject to that carrier's own terms, service guarantees, and published guidelines.
1. Label creation
Labels are generated instantly after a successful payment. You are responsible for providing accurate sender and recipient addresses, package weight, dimensions, and declared value. Inaccurate information may result in carrier adjustments, address correction charges, delivery delays, or non-delivery.
2. Handing off packages to the carrier
You may drop packages at any authorized USPS or UPS location, request a carrier pickup where available, or schedule pickup through your own account. MyShipPilot does not perform pickups. Labels typically remain valid for the timeframes published by the selected carrier — commonly 28 days for USPS domestic labels and 90 days for UPS domestic labels — after which the label may be considered expired by the carrier.
3. Transit times
Transit times shown in the rate comparison are estimates provided by the carrier and do not include the day the label is created, weekends, or U.S. federal holidays unless the service specifically supports them. MyShipPilot does not guarantee delivery times. Only carrier-specific guaranteed services (for example, UPS Next Day Air) carry a money-back guarantee, and any such guarantee is provided by the carrier under its own terms.
4. Tracking
Tracking numbers are available in your dashboard as soon as a label is purchased. Tracking events are provided directly by the carrier and may take up to 24–48 hours after the first scan to appear. Optional shipment notifications may be sent to you and to the recipient email address you provide.
5. Delivery issues, lost or damaged packages
Because the carrier is the party physically handling your shipment, lost, damaged, and misdelivered package claims must be filed with the carrier that transported the package. Standard claim windows apply — commonly up to 60 days after the mailing date for USPS and up to 60 days after the delivery date for UPS. MyShipPilot can help you locate tracking information and label receipts needed to file a claim, but MyShipPilot itself does not reimburse for loss or damage to the physical package.
6. Shipping insurance
USPS Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express include limited built-in coverage as published by USPS. UPS shipments include limited declared-value coverage as published by UPS. Additional insurance is not automatically added by MyShipPilot; where offered at checkout, it is provided by the carrier or a third-party insurer under its own terms.
7. Undeliverable and returned packages
If a package cannot be delivered, the carrier will typically attempt redelivery, hold the package for pickup, or return it to the sender. Any resulting return, redirect, or address-correction fees charged by the carrier are the responsibility of the account holder and may be billed to your MyShipPilot payment method.
8. Prohibited and restricted items
You may only ship items that comply with all applicable U.S. laws and the carrier's published guidelines. See our Acceptable Use Policy for details. Shipments containing prohibited items may be delayed, seized, destroyed, or refused by the carrier, and any resulting fees are the responsibility of the sender.
9. International shipments
When international services are enabled on your account, you are responsible for providing accurate customs information, complying with all applicable export controls, and paying any duties, taxes, or brokerage fees assessed by the destination country. The recipient is generally the importer of record unless a different arrangement is made directly with the carrier.
10. Refunds for unused labels
Labels that are purchased but never scanned by the carrier can typically be voided and refunded. Refund timing and eligibility follow each carrier's rules and are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
11. Early access notice
MyShipPilot is currently in early access. Live label purchasing is enabled after account setup and carrier activation. Example rates shown in the calculator may vary from the final carrier rate for your specific package, destination, and account.
