Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective date: July 1, 2026 · Last updated: July 1, 2026
This policy explains how MyShipPilot LLC handles refunds for shipping labels and account cancellations. Because MyShipPilot is a software platform and the actual postage is issued by the carrier, refund timing and eligibility follow each carrier's rules.
1. Account cancellation
MyShipPilot has no monthly subscription fee, so there is nothing to cancel to stop being billed. You can close your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing support@myshippilot.com. Closing your account removes your saved profile, addresses, and package presets. Past shipments, labels, and receipts are retained as required for tax, accounting, and carrier record-keeping.
2. Unused shipping labels
Labels purchased but never scanned by the carrier are eligible for a refund of the postage amount. Refunds are returned to the original payment method once the carrier approves the request and confirms the label was not used. Typical timelines:
- USPS: 14–28 days after the request.
- UPS: 7–14 days after the request.
Labels not requested for refund before the carrier's expiration window (commonly 28 days for USPS and 90 days for UPS) may no longer be refundable.
3. Used or scanned labels
Once a label has been scanned by the carrier it is considered used and is not refundable, even if the package is later returned, refused, or undeliverable.
4. Lost or damaged packages
Because the carrier physically handles the package, claims for lost, damaged, or misdelivered shipments must be filed with the carrier. MyShipPilot can help you locate the tracking number and label receipt needed to file a claim, but MyShipPilot does not reimburse for the physical package.
5. Carrier adjustments
Carriers may adjust the price of a shipment after the fact — for example, if the package's actual weight or dimensions differ from what was declared. These adjustments are set by the carrier and are non-refundable by MyShipPilot. If you believe an adjustment is incorrect, you can dispute it from your account and we will forward it to the carrier or shipping provider. Carrier-adjustment disputes must be submitted promptly and within the applicable carrier or shipping-provider deadline, which may vary by carrier and adjustment type.
6. How refunds are returned
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method after the carrier approves the request, less any pending carrier adjustments or disputed charges.
7. Billing disputes
If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 60 days of the charge at support@myshippilot.com with your account email and the transaction details. We investigate and respond within one business day.
